Rainbow Meditation- personal reflection

To be brutally honest, right now my physical evaluation would be a 6, spiritual a 8, and my psychological well-being a 6. (1-10) As far as physical goes I need to quit smoking. I can feel it's effects in every aspect of my life. Spiritual, I would say I would like to find more time for my faith. Some days it just doesn't seem adequate. Psychologically, I need to work on being more self-confident. To set some goals, I think I'll start with physical. I'm going to practice more meditative techniques and add more cardio to my work-outs to help with the urges to smoke. Spiritually, before each exercise and meditation session I will take the time to connect to the Lord, even if it's just for a few minutes. Psychologically (although I'm not completely comfortable with it yet), I'm going to try affirmations to try and see what everyone else around me does.
As for the rainbow meditation exercise, this is the exercise from last term that turned everything around for me. I really connected with this one, and it had a definite calming effect on me. I don't know if it's the colors that relate to my artistic side subconsciously, but I was really able to focus and let the stress just "melt away". This one is saved on my computer! :)

  1. I was not able to fully partake with the Rainbow Meditation last time because of sound issues with my laptop. This time I was actually able to find some benefit with it. I have also saved this on my computer for future use.

  2. I need to quit smoking as well, so I can completely understand what you mean. It is very harmful in many ways, yet so difficult to give up because of the withdrawl effects. Good luck to you in your attempt.

  3. I will pray for both of you. I quit over 25 years ago (along with quitting drinking) and I can speak from experience not only can it be done, you can stay quit once you realize what it is that usually leads to picking up a cigarette. I had to change some behavior that I used to do along with smoking. One of them was drinking. The other was having coffee first thing in the morning. Now if I do have coffee, it is after I have been up for a while. My husband who still smokes, has been real good about going outside or stands in the doorway blowing smoke out the door when we aren't home.
